Danfoss A/S, one of the leading manufacturers of units for hydraulics, drive, refrigeration and heating technology, has presented its “2015 Quality Supplier Award” to Schaeffler. In 2015, Schaeffler supplied 3.3 million parts from more than 20 plants across the globe to Danfoss locations around the world – and only two parts were rejected. In granting this award, Danfoss recognizes the high quality standards that characterize both companies and that are essential for remaining competitive over the long term and for durable customer relationships. Kim Fausing, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Danfoss, explained: “We work with our suppliers to reach our goal of providing our customers with ever more reliable and innovative products. Not only does Schaeffler meet this requirement with its outstanding product quality, but also with products developed specifically for our innovations. We are looking forward to continuously expanding our partnership, which has been successful for over 20 years. “ Schaeffler supplies approx. 170 different products to Danfoss, most of which are installed in hydraulic units for mobile machinery. This includes standard products in X-life quality as well as specially designed products for hydraulic units, such as cradle bearings. More than ten different INA and FAG products are used in the highly successful H1 series piston pumps and motors, for instance, which play an important role in optimizing the units’ energy efficiency. “I am pleased and proud of this recognition of our work. ‘Zero defects in all processes and products’ is not only one of Schaeffler’s defined corporate goals, but it is also the result of our continuous quality policy, as we have been able to demonstrate with Danfoss. I would like to thank our team that works hand in hand across three continents and does everything from the RFQ to the delivery.
